![]() ![]() What else should I do / add to the RetroPie setup to make it perfect for an arcade cab? Are there downsides to running a cab on RetroPie vs. If you were me would you just proceed with RetroPie on a Pi3 for the cabinet? What are the advantages of HyperSpin outside of how awesome the menu system can look when it's up and running? Not that ES doesn't look awesome. ![]() ![]() Here are my questions for this seemingly very active and helpful community. I've also heard that when you dive in deeper it's a pain to get video demos, artwork, etc. I've got it to run some Genesis ROMS but they are choppy and audio is messed up. I'm struggling to get RetroArch to run (d3d error) unless I run it by changing the config file to "SDL2" for video. I've looked through the SimplyAustin tutorials (which are awesome!) And followed along. Onboard graphics, Intel Core2Duo, 4GB RAM for like $60 on CL and have been trying to learn HyperSpin. Tons of fun, and have to give a big shout out to this Reddit community for the great info getting it set up! Have got several different joystick button layouts on boards set up and running. Emulation station running smoothly and all the systems I desire to emulate set up, ROMs scraped with cover art, etc. RetroPie Pals - I have worked out most of the kinks of RetroPie and have set up and run a prototype with arcade controls. ![]()
